The Real Nike!

I love learning n what not, so you know I had to do a little background research on one of my favorite brands; Nike!

The well known brand of today, Nike, derived from one of the greek goddesses known as the Winged Goddess of Victory. Nike was a close companion of Zeus, who was the dominant deity of the Greek pantheon. According to classical myth, Styx (Nikes parent) brought her to Zeus when the god was assembling allies for the Titan War against the older deities. Nike flew around battlefields rewarding the victors with glory and fame. Nike assumed the role of the divine charioteer, a role in which she often is portrayed in Classical Greek art. Nike is the goddess of strength, speed, and victory. The shoe and sports equipment company Nike, Inc. is named after the Greek goddess Nike

Aye & Bee

So Beyonce and Alicia Keys composed a duet recently and word on the street is they are releasing a video soon. The song is called "Put it in a Love Song" and its pretty self explanitory of what the song will be about. Honestly im not too fond of it but i absolutely love the colors and the wardrobe selection. Both Alicia and Bee are wearing custom made "Boxing Kitten" garments throughout the video (according to Concreteloops editor). I've heard of this line but i never really looked into it. The way Bee and Alicia are sporting these original garments, the designers of Boxing Kitten are sure to be on the verge of their big break.

Rihanna making a comeback??

So i was surfing through concreteloop and i came across a few photos from Rihanna's new video "Rude Boy". Her style has changed tremendously since the incident with Chris Brown last February. She became dark, armed and dangerous! The only good outcome of the tragedy was her style change. Though it was rated R, she became one of the most mimicked fashion icons of our time. Recently I've notice after the release of the album and the harsh ridicule she received, she started splashing more color and family friendly apparel into her wardrobe. This video will definitely mark a major turning point in her career since the incident; well in my opinion. Let's see how it affects her upon the release and if this finally puts an end to her dark days.

(Honestly, i prefer the chains, leather, spikes, and dark makeup...that's just my opinion)
